The product is intended for the protection of the surface of porous and non-porous materials, ceramic and stone floors and wall coverings. It penetrates into the pores and creates a thin - nano film that protects the surface from the formation of limescale deposits and increases its resistance to dirt. It is easier to clean, ensures long-term improvement of the appearance, acts as a stain prevention (for example, wine, coffee) and facilitates the removal of graffiti. The product is suitable for absorbent materials such as granite, marble, burnt brick, natural stone, kabrin, slate, terrazzo, cement surfaces.
It is also suitable for sintered ceramic tiles with a structure, it is suitable for the protection of cement joints from dirt and washing out.
Although it is not directly intended for smooth, shiny and glazed materials, its application, especially for the protection of cement joints, is not excluded and will improve the cleanability of their structure.
Not suitable for surfaces coated with epoxy and synthetic coatings.
Application procedure:
1. Wash the surface thoroughly with a suitable basic cleaner, neutralize with water and let it dry well! The surface must be free of all dirt and completely dried! Surfaces that are resistant to acids, wash with a solution of Cleamen 442 at a concentration of 150 ml/10 l of water, leave to act for a while and rinse with water, the impregnation will be more resistant to trampling.
2. Apply the impregnation evenly to the surface using a plush microfiber mop, preferably with cross strokes, so that the surface is evenly and perfectly moistened throughout the entire structure.
3. It is advisable to saturate the cement joints with a larger amount of impregnation, but only so that no puddles form.
4. Let the surface dry for about 2 - 4 hours.
5. Check whether the surface is hydrophobic by dropping a few drops of water; if the surface absorbs water, apply a second layer.
6. If possible, polish the surface with a disc machine with a white pad or microfiber at high speed. Polishing with heat will accelerate the drying and maturation of the impregnation and it can therefore be loaded earlier if necessary.
7. The entire surface can be loaded after 6 hours of drying and can be washed after 48 hours at the earliest.
If you apply the impregnation to smooth and shiny surfaces and droplets form on the surface, you need to polish the surface with an absorbent cloth or microfiber within 30 minutes to prevent them from drying out!
The reason is that shiny tiles cannot absorb the applied amount and at the same time it is not possible for the user to apply a thinner layer. This is because these are units of up to tens of nanometers, which is a layer thinner than a marker line.
For subsequent maintenance, it is appropriate to use common cleaning agents, such as Cleamen 145 or Cleamen 146. The impregnation is chemically stable and therefore can be washed with alkaline agents such as CLEAMEN 141 or CLEAMEN 120, as well as acidic agents CLEAMEN 442 or CLEAMEN 450 to remove limescale.
Before applying the impregnation, the surfaces must be free of all dirt! Dirt that remains on the surface before applying the impregnation can only be removed mechanically!
Average approximate total consumption in liters/100m² | Absorbent materials | ||
Number of layers | 1 | 2 | 3 |
Burned brick, sandstone, concrete, terrazzo | 10 | 15 | 20 |
Unpolished granite, marble, stone | 6 | 10 | 12 |
Grinded stone, anti-slip tiles | 3 | 5 | 7 |
| |||
| Non-absorbent materials | ||
Sintered tiles with structure | 2 | 4 | According to the frequency of joints |
Smooth (glazed) sintered tiles | 1-2 | With multiple layers is not counted |
The consumption according to the table is approximate and may vary significantly depending on the individual materials and their designs. For application on larger areas, we therefore recommend making a sample.
For sintered tiles, one perfectly laid and crosswise layer is ideal. For tiles with a deeper structure, two thin layers can also be applied.
